Give a short description of yourself and your style.
I’m Originally coming from Paris, My name is VictorAsh I started my artistic carrier as a graffiti writer in the early 80ts together with the legendary crew “BBC”.
Since 1988 I have been exhibiting regularly in various galleries and spaces worldwide. My newest works often revolve around the contrast between country and city, nature and culture.
I combine various elements in organic forms that evolve into stylistic, mechanistic figures flowing over the media of my choice.

when and how did you discover streetart?
Back in 1883, I started to hang out in a place called Trocadeo and the neighborhood of Châtelet-Les Halles In Paris.
There you could see many sprayed stencils from people like Miss Tick or Bleck le Rat etc…
Then because hip hop became very popular, I discovered the New York city graffiti, by watching videos and looking at books about the pieces on the New York city subway.
why did you become active in streetart?
I have been skilled for drawing and painting since I was a little kid, also interested in art …
When I became a teenager and at a time when I should have taken decisions about my future, I was not able to decide that I should go to an art school and follow a career in a creative field. My parents could not relate to that because of there cultural and emigrant background and the French educational system made sure that if you come from a certain social background you will follow certain paths in your education.
I became an active street artist because it was the only way for me to keep on drawing and painting and make myself noticed with what I was good a doing.
what kind of responses (reactions oder feedback) have you received on your artwork?
I Have been painting for many years, in many kind of situations and places, the response have been generally positive.
I guess, if the response was mostly bad I would have stopped painting, he he.
what provoked you to chose an illegal artform?
I started to paint outside when I was a teen. Looking for an identity,
I liked the thrill the revolt and the energy I found there.
Also, I like to be in direct contact with the public, it creates a communication that you wouldn’t get by staying in a studio.

what do you think about the present streetart hype?
It’s been around for a while now, but it’s mostly reflected in the media and in commercial products…
The modern art market is still very careful with it. However, I think that the street art movement is here to stay and the works will be more and more interesting, not only outside but also making it’s way into the art world in as more stable value.
How do you see your future as a streetart artist?
This art form has given me most of the thinks I have in my life
Its part of me, the motivation and ideas behind this movement had a great impact in my artistic production.
But calling myself a street artist is not always correct, my work is often exposed inside buildings, galleries museums etc…
Your message to the people (out there):
