Als wir ihm unsere Streetartidee erklärten, und ihn baten uns auch eine PSP Shape zu customizen, da ahnte noch niemand was Dave für ein Werk schaffen würde. Dave ist ein großer Fan von Robotern und dem Spaceding im Allgemeinen. Also hat er uns ein Roboter Space Shuttle gebaut. So weit so gut, bis auf die Tatsache, dass das Teil so groß geworden ist, dass selbst UPS seine Kapazitäten überschritten sah. Also mussten wir einen persönlichen Kurier losschicken, der das Kunstwerk aus London nach Berlin bringt. Dieser nette Kurier hatte Probleme im öffentlichen Strassenverkehr in London mit diesem Objekt teilzunehmen, kein Busfahrer wollte ihn mitnehmen, also Taxitrip zum Flughafen. Dort hat Easy Jet seinem Namen alle Ehre gemacht und das Teil ganz unbürokratisch in die Sperrgutabteilung verfrachtet. UFF und jetzt ist es da und kann bei uns in der Torstrasse bewundert werden. Sammler haben schon reges Interesse bekundet und wir wollen natürlich solch große Kunst auch allen Betrachtern näher bringen.

Dave the Chimp kommt aus London. Er hat einen sehr einfachen coolen Character Style mit viel Humor. Früher hat er oft Dinge bemalt wie Holzplatten und Sperrmüll und hat sie dann auf die Strasse gestellt, wo sich Passanten einfach an seinen Werken bedienen konnten. Dave arbeitet als Illustrator und LIEBT Roboter

I am short and hairy, with very long arms. my style is bohemian homeless chic, and I mostly wear clothes that I find in the street and wrap my feet in free plastic grocery bags. If you want to get ahead wear a hat. or stab the people that are ahead of you.
when and how did you discover streetart?
I discovered this so called “street art” in the streets of my homeland, Zargorkia, in the early 18th century. I was a young lad of six and, while feasting heartily on livers, I noticed blood spray out of a ventricle, through the kitchen window, and onto the wall of the neighbours house. I went outside and traced patterns in the blood. I became fascinated by this and would draw my bloody patterns wherever I went. One day I noticed a local clothing manufacturer had used one of my patterns as the basis of a new cloth pattern. From this I went on to design sneakers, wooden toys, and eventually to exhibit in the Zargorkia Museum of Contemporary Art. It was only then, when my art had been commercialised and become a fully-fledged product of consumer society, that I realised I was now a true “street artist”.
